Welcome to Mauni VR, a virtual reality service provided by Evrience (“we,” “us,” or “our”), developed in collaboration with Mauni GGZ. Mauni VR is designed to support addiction treatment by enabling therapists and clients to meet in immersive virtual environments.
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Mauni VR application and any related services (collectively, the “Service”).
Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms and all applicable laws and regulations.
If you are using the Service on behalf of an organization or healthcare provider, you confirm that you have the authority to bind that organization to these Terms and agree to these Terms on its behalf.
If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use the Service.
Use of the Service
Eligibility
The Service is intended for use within professional addiction care and related mental healthcare contexts.
By using the Service as a therapist or counselor, you represent and warrant that you are authorized to provide such care in accordance with applicable laws, professional standards, and regulatory requirements.
Clients may use the Service only under the guidance of an authorized healthcare professional.
Account Management
Mauni VR does not require users to create independent application accounts.
Authentication and access are managed exclusively through the Meta Quest / Meta Horizon platform. Evrience does not store login credentials or account passwords.
User Conduct
You agree to use the Service responsibly and not to engage in any activity that is unlawful, harmful, or disruptive.
You agree to:
Use the Service in compliance with all applicable laws and professional regulations
Respect the rights, privacy, and safety of other users
Refrain from misuse of the Service outside its intended therapeutic context
Evrience reserves the right to restrict or suspend access if misuse is detected.
Medical Disclaimer
Mauni VR is a supportive digital tool designed to facilitate therapy sessions.
The Service does not provide medical diagnosis, emergency care, or autonomous treatment decisions.
All therapeutic use of the Service must be supervised by a qualified healthcare professional.
Mauni VR is not intended for use as a replacement for professional judgment, clinical assessment, or emergency services.
Intellectual Property
All rights, title, and interest in and to the Service, including software, environments, visuals, and underlying technology (excluding content provided by users during sessions), remain the exclusive property of Evrience and its licensors.
You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, and revocable license to use the Service solely for its intended purposes, subject to these Terms.
Privacy
Your privacy is important to us.
Our Privacy Policy for Mauni VR describes how information associated with your use of the Service is handled. By using the Service, you agree to the terms outlined in that Privacy Policy.
Modifications to the Service
We reserve the right to modify, update, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at our sole discretion.
We are not liable for any modification, suspension, or discontinuation of the Service, whether temporary or permanent.
Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service immediately, without prior notice or liability, if:

the Service is used unlawfully or improperly
continued access poses a risk to users, providers, or the integrity of the Service
Upon termination, your right to use the Service will cease immediately.
Disclaimer of Warranties
The Service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Evrience disclaims all warranties, whether express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and availability.
We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation of the Service.
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Evrience, its affiliates, officers, employees, agents, or licensors shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages arising out of or related to the use of, or inability to use, the Service.
This includes, but is not limited to, loss of data, loss of profits, or interruption of care.
Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Netherlands.
If you access the Service from outside the Netherlands, you are responsible for compliance with applicable local laws.
Changes to These Terms
We reserve the right to modify or replace these Terms at any time.
Significant changes will be communicated via the Service or through updates on the Evrience website. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
